Position Overview:
• Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
• Perform a pre and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle. Document any maintenance that may be required.
• Inspect truck for maintenance required and potential repairs
• Operate and drive truck in a safe and efficient manner
• Operate concrete mixer to pour concrete for customers
• Operate front end loader to load concrete trucks with sand and stone.
• Operate cement silo to load truck with cement powder.
• Climb ladders and maintain concrete truck.
• Communicate with customers • Wash truck every night and load for the following morning
Qualifications:
• DZ/AZ license
• Must be able to provide 3 year Driver Experience letter
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs
• Time management skills
• Volumetric Mixer experience an asset
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
Working Conditions:
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
• Ability to a lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required good manual dexterity
• Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
• Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold.
• Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work.
