Job Description:Designs and develops all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery. Will be responsible for the development, installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
Reporting to: General Manager – Select Tool USA Inc.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and draft electrical and pneumatic schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical.
- Develop control panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
- Support assembly and testing teams during the build phase by providing troubleshooting expertise and design clarifications.
- Review and update design documentation to reflect as-built conditions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and industry regulations.
- Other duties as required.
Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years in a similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical.
- Solid understanding of electrical and pneumatic schematic design.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and debug control panels, both during the build process and post-installation.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team environments. Excellent verbal / written communication and organizational skills.
- Professionalism and attention to detail a must.
- Team-player and performance-driven.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
- Ability to travel to and within USA, Canada and Mexico.
- May be required to work extended hours on occasion.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Education:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent experience.
