We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Hands-On Cost Accountant / Cost Analyst to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to drive cost-saving initiatives for both companies.

Job Summary:
The Cost Accountant / Cost Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and controlling costs to improve financial efficiency and profitability. This role involves hands-on involvement in cost accounting, variance analysis, budgeting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, analyze, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
Perform detailed cost analysis and report on cost variances, trends, and drivers.
Work closely with operations and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to cost structures.
Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.
Review inventory valuation, standard cost updates, and work-in process accounting.
Ensure accurate allocation of costs to products, departments, and projects.
Support pricing decisions by providing cost data and margin analysis.
Monitor production costs and recommend adjustments to enhance efficiency.
Assist with audits and compliance requirements related to cost accounting.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance cost accounting accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred.
3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, an analysis.
Ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
